Hey everyone! I added a "demo" section of the website where I'll put some unreleased/to-be-recorded better and released songs. I'd love to hear what you think of the stuff that goes up there. Also, give me a follow on twitter.com/pauljjohnson if you like to do that stuff. Cool, have a fantastic day!

Demos!
news news news
Hey Everyone,
Good news, I'm back in Nashville and loving it! Lots of cool people and exciting things are here so I thought I'd jump into it. I'll be back in the studio soon as well. After lots of self-producing I came to realize that although the do-it-alone aproach is an educational and at times painful experience, it is no way to create music at the highest possible quality while enjoying the journey (at least not for me). So I'm giddy to say that I'm becoming surrounded by people much more experienced and skillful at the recording thing than I am! I'm pretty pumped for some of the stuff in-the-works. Well I'm off to buy a flash drive and see if the cat that's been hanging out on my front stairs (I named him Reeses) is still there. On a related note, if anyone in Nashville has lost a fluffy black and white cat, I've found him and he REALLY likes to eat sliced ham. K, talk to you soon!

New Album, "Friendly Face", is done!
After months in the making, the new album is finally finished!!! You can buy and download tracks from it right now on the website! You will also be able to order the physical CDs right here at the pauljjohnson website very soon, as it will also be available at cdbaby.com. I'll let you know when both of those are up and running. In the mean time, in addition to the entire album for sale, you can download a few select tracks from the record in the "Buy Friendly Face" section of the website and pay whatever you want for it. If you want it for free, you can have it for free! It's sort of a Radiohead type of strategy right now, so visit the Friendly Face section and have at it! Physical CDs and iTunes options are coming very very soon! I hope you like what you hear and I'd love to hear your opinion on all the new tunes!

BIIIIG Changes
Hello everyone,
I hope summer was amazing for all of you. Well, as you may or may not know, there are some major overhauls going on in the Paul J Johnson department. First, I am currently working on some of the later tracks of the NEW ALBUM (: I'm super excited for this one because I think it has a lot bigger sound than a lot of my previous recordings. It has also taken me a while, but rest assured that progress is being made and you should see proof of it very soon.
Second big news: I no longer live in Nashville. My time in Nashville was awesome and I have tons of happy memories that I'm taking with me from here to....San Diego. However, before I officially make that move the album will be completely...complete, and t-shirts, CD's, the whole works will be available. I'm feeling great about moving forward with all this and I hope you enjoy the music that comes out of it. I'll keep you updated as the updates come,

How time flies
Hey everyone! Sorry for the time gap between last post and this one. As you can see I've been driving around a lot this summer visiting people, seeing new places, and occasionally playing shows. It has proved to be a very interesting summer so far and I've learned a lot. Also, a second album is on the way! I'll keep you posted on the release date but it shouldn't be too far away. I hope everyone is keeping cool and having a wonderful summer!
